BJP candidate Dr Krishan Kumar has won from Bawal constituency by defeating Indian National Congress candidate Dr ML Ranga. Dr Krishan Kumar has polled 86,858 votes.
Bawal is one of the 90 assembly seats in Haryana. The seat which was classified as semi-urban, falls in the Rewari district of the state. Dr Krishan Kumar of BJP, Dr ML Ranga of Congress and Jawahar Lal of AAP are the major candidates from the constituency.
In the 2019 assembly election, Dr Banwari Lal of BJP had a vote share of 47.99% in the seat. In 2014, Dr Banwari of BJP won by securing a vote share of 52.86% in the constituency.
As per the election commission data, the estimated voter turn out in the constituency was 65.6%. During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party received 31 seats and the remaining were taken by INLD, Haryana Lokhit Party and independent candidate.
