
Imported Beer To Get Costlier By 45% Under Haryana's New Excise Policy
Haryana: Starting from June 12, Indian beer prices in Haryana will reportedly witness a 55 per cent hike under the new excise policy in the state. There will be a 45 per cent hike for imported beer, reported Hindustan Times.
According to the report, the cost of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and imported Foreign Liquor (IFL) will rise by 15-20 per cent under the policy.

Set to be implemented on June 12, the new Haryana Excise Policy will see a sharp rise in the prices of popular beer brands, including Kingfisher, Carlsberg, Budweiser, and Hoegaarden.
The New Prices in Haryana
After the implementation of the new Haryana Excise Policy, the price of a 650 ml bottle of Kingfisher Ultra will increase from Rs 90 to Rs 140. A pint of imported beers like Corona and Amstel, which costs Rs 200, will increase to Rs 290.
A 330 ml beer bottle of Budweiser and Carlsberg will go up from Rs 75 to Rs 120. A 500 ml canned beer will cost Rs 130 from Rs 90.
Meanwhile, a 750 ml bottle of Absolut Vodka, currently priced at Rs 1,200, will cost Rs 1,500. A bottle of Glenlivet will increase from Rs 3,200 to Rs 3,800.

“This is primarily to bring parity with neighbouring states and to promote Indian-made beer and liquor over imported alternatives,” Gurugram (West) deputy excise and taxation commissioner confirmed to Hindustan Times.
The official also added that the excise department will focus on optimising revenue earned through alcohol sales.
