
Panchkula: 7-Member Family Found Dead In Car; Suicide Suspected (Photo screengrab on X@sirajoorani)
Panchkula, Haryana: In a tragic event, locals in Haryana’s Panchkula, found a car suspiciously parked outside a house. When they learnt that there were the dead bodies of a family members inside the car, they informed the emergency response team and rushed the victims to the hospital. All seven members of the family, hailing from Dehradun, were, however, declared dead upon arrival to the hospital, NDTV reports.
As per the preliminary investigation, the family may have committed suicide due to heavy debt. Dehradun resident Praveen Mittal and his family were returning from an event in Panchkula on Monday night when the incident occurred. The family was in the city to be part of a religious programme at the Bageshwar Dham.

It was on their way back home that the family reportedly took poison inside the car, which was parked in Panchkula. Locals spotted the family struggling inside the vehicle and immediately informed the emergency response system. All seven members were later found deceased.
Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadri Kaushik and Deputy Commissioner of Police Law and Order Amit Dahiya reached the site and launched a probe into the incident.

“Some facts make it clear it is a case of suicide. We are collecting scientific evidence to assess the matter,” the deputy commissioner said, NDTV quoted. Police have reportedly recovered a suicide note, the details of which have not been revealed yet.
However, there were reports that family was in a heavy financial crisis.
The deceased include 42-year-old Praveen Mittal, his elderly parents, wife and three young children – two girls and a boy.
