Congress Announces Candidates For Jharkhand Lok Sabha Elections

In a press release, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has announced the candidates selected by the Central Election Committee for the upcoming elections in the state of Jharkhand today.

The three selected candidates include:

  • Deepika Pandey Singh – Godda
  • Krishna Nand Tripathi – Chatra
  • Anupama Singh – Dhanbad

Hailing from a political family, Deepika Pandey Singh has served as the MLA from Mahagama. Krishna Nand Tripathi has represented the Daltonganj constituency as the MLA in 2009. Wife of Bermo MLA Jai Mangal also known as Anup Singh, Anupama Singh has been nominated amidst speculations of Congress fielding her.

Elections in the state will be held in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh phases with polls scheduled on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. Voting will be held for 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
