BJP candidate Ajay Mahawar is leading in Ghonda assembly constituency by securing 57,267 votes. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party’s Gaurav Sharma came in second with a vote margin of 18,702 votes. He hasd secured 38,565 votes. Congress’s Bhisham Sharma is behind with 3,280 votes.
Ghonda is the assembly constituency in the North East district of Delhi. Ghonda had witnesses a contest between AAP’s Gaurav Sharma, BJP’s Ajay Mahawar and INC’s Bhisham Sharma.

In the previous assembly election in 2020, Ajay Mahawar of the BJP has secured victory with a margin of 28,370 votes, while AAP’s Shridutt Sharma finished as the runner-up with 53,427 votes. During the 2020 Delhi assembly elections, the overall voter turnout across the 70 constituencies stood at 61.46 per cent.
The Congress party had won three consecutive terms from 1998 to 2013. While, the saffron party was only able to win once. After ending the Congress rule in 2013, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP formed the government in the national capital and further it had completed its second consecutive term (2015 to 2025). The national capital had recorded a voter turnout of 57.70 per cent till 5 pm in the single phase of assembly elections.

Delhi has an electorate of 1.5 crore, with 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. Meanwhile, third gender voters are 1,261 as per the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.
