Former chief minister and Congress candidate Bhupinder Singh Hooda has retained his stronghold on the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi assembly constituency. Hooda trounced his nearest rival Manju the candidate put up by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a margin of 70626 as per the Election Commission.
As per the early trend, Congress’ Bhupinder Singh Hooda is leading in Grahi Sampla Kiloi constituency. The election commission data shows that Bhupinder Singh is leading with 5082 votes. The veteran Congress leader and concurrent MLA is giving a tough battle to BJP face Manju Hooda.
Grahi Sampla Kiloi is one of the top seat in the state of Haryana which has been a stronghold for Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Hooda had won the seat in 2009, 2014 and 2019.
The veteran Congress leader has been two-time chief minister and four time MP is seen as a probable Chief minister candidate of the Congress party. Hooda is contesting against Manju Hooda (BJP), Pravin Guskhani (AAP), Sushila Devi (JJP) and Krishnan (INLD).
The seat has registered 61% voting. During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party received 31 seats and the remaining were taken by INLD, Haryana Lokhit Party and independent candidate.
