Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dr. Neera Yadav has secured the Kodarma seat after defeating Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Subhash Prasad Yadav with 5815 votes.
A total of 23 candidates were in the electoral fray for the Kodarma Assembly seat in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election. In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election, people voted in Kodarma on November 13, 2024.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, the BJP candidate Dr Neera Yadav won this seat after defeating Amitabh Kumar of RJD with a margin of 1,797 (0.88%) votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 31.35% in 2019 on Kodarma seat.
In 2014, Dr Neera Yadav of BJP won the Jharkhand Assembly elections from this seat after defeating Annapurna Devi of RJD with a margin of 13,525 (6.83%) votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 42.87% in 2014 on this seat.
In 2009, Annapurna Devi of RJD won the Jharkhand Assembly elections for this seat defeating Ramesh Singh of JVM with a large margin of 17,283 (11.73%) votes cast for the seat. RJD had a vote share of 31.85% in 2009 On Kodarma this seat.
