"People Of Telangana Have Given Them An Answer": DK Shivakumar On BRS

As the counting of votes for the 2023 assembly election held in four states is getting to end, Telangana remains as a beacon of hope for Congress, as all the other three states namely Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh seem to oust the party and embrace BJP, as per the reading of Election Commission of India.

In Telangana, Congress is leading with 64 seats while BRS has garnered 40 seats so far. Apart from Telangana, in all other three states, the battle is between BJP and Congress. In Telangana, Congress is in the lead and the competition is between the incumbent BRS and Congress. As KCR-led government looking for a third time, resurgent Congress is fighting tooth and nail to wrest power. Meanwhile, BJP has left no stone unturned to come in power.

While talking to reporters, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said he refused to comment of KCR or KTR regarding the striking vote difference between the two party as “people of Telangana have given them an answer”. According to Mr. Shivkumar, “the people of Telangana have decided that there must be change, there must be change for progress, and development”.

Karnataka’s deputy CM attributed the possible win of Congress in Telangana to the PCC President of the state, Revanth Reddy, “he is the leader…the election was fought on collective leadership”.
