BJP candidate Kailash Chand Verma defeated current MLA Ganga Devi in Bagru constituency of Rajasthan. Bagru constituency witnessed a powerful fight between Kailash Chand Verma and Ganga Devi. Kailash Chand Verma garnered 145170 votes while, INC candidate Ganga Devi came second with 99920 votes and RLP candidate Tarachand Raigar came third with 3732 votes. In the 2023 Rajasthan assembly elections, there were total 293929 electors in the constituency.
The Assembly election in Rajasthan was held on November 25th for 199/200 seats. The constituency of Bagru is a part of Rajasthan’s Jaipur district and is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates it categorized as a urban seat. Bagru assembly constituency falls under Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is currently held by the BJP.
In 2013 assembly elections, BJP”s Kailash Verma had defeated Congress’ Dr. Prahlad Raghu. Kailash Verma was voted 100947 votes and Prahlad Raghu was voted 54591 votes. NPEP”s (National People”s Party) Ramji Lal Bairwa came third with 11998 votes then. The consituency had 242159 voters then.
In 2018, Congress” Ganga Devi defeated Kailash Verma as the former polled 96635 votes and the later polled 91292. This time, RLTP came third with 15796. The total electorate was 296725 in 2018.
In 2023 Bagru constituency witnessed a powerful fight between Congress and BJP. Overall, according to the latest reports, Out of the total 200 seats, BJP leading with 115 seats and INC is in second with 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
