BJP candidate Ramavtar Bairwa defeated current MLA Ved Prakash Solanki of Congress in Chaksu constituency of Rajasthan. Ramavtar Bairwa garnered 104064 votes while, Ved Prakash Solanki came second with 54684 votes and RLP candidate Vikesh Kholia came third with 4068 votes. In the 2023 Rajasthan assembly elections, there were total 176557 voters in the constituency.
The Assembly election in Rajasthan was held on November 25th for 199 out of 200 seats. The constituency of Chaksu is a part of Rajasthan’s Jaipur district and is reserved for Scheduled Cast (SC) candidates. Of the 200 seats in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, 34 have been reserved for Scheduled Castes and 25 for Scheduled Tribes.
In 2014 assembly elections, BJP”s Laxminarain Bairwa had defeated Congress’ Prakash Chand Bairwa. Laxminarain Bairwa was voted 53977 votes and Prakash Chand Bairwa was voted 41619 votes. NPEP”s (National People”s Party) Ashok Tanwar came third with 29417 votes then. The consituency had 181419 voters then.
In 2018, the Chaksu seat was won by the INC candidate Ved Prakash Solanki with 70007 votes, while BJP candidate Ramavtar Bairwa had come in second place and Hemant Vijay from RLTP came third with16706 votes.The consituency had 205216 voters then.
Overall, according to the latest reports, out of the total 200 seats, BJP leading with 115 seats and INC is in second with 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the Assembly election results were released for three other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. The results of these three states have also been announced today.
