Rajasthan Election Results: BJP's Hansraj Patel Wins Kotputli Assembly

Hansraj Patel defeated Congress candidate Rajendra Singh Yadav in Rajasthan’s Kotputli constituency as BJP has regained its position in the elections. BJP was voted 67,716 votes while Congress was voted 67,395 votes. Kotputli witnessed a tough phase in the 2023 legislative assembly election. Third position is taken by Mukesh Goyal who is an independent candidate by polling 33,850 votes.

In 2013, Kotputli constituency had total of 178,115 electors and 137,897 participated in the election. In this legislative assembly election Congress had won. Rajendra Singh Yadav defeated BJP’s Banwari Lal Yadav. Congress bagged 47,973 votes and BJP was voted 23,286 votes. He became minister of motor garage, language and social justice, minister of state for power (independent charge) and planning (manpower).

Like in 2013, Congress won from the constituency in 2018 as well. Rajendra Singh Yadav defeated BJP’s Mukesh Goyal.  RLTP’s Ramswaroop came to third by getting 28,353. Congress polled 57,114 votes while BJP polled 43,238 votes. Kotputli had 208,015 electors in 2018.

Overall, according to the latest report of election conducted in Rajasthan out of the total 199 seats BJP is leading with 114 seats and Congress with 67 seats. BAP is currently in third position by winning 3 seats. Independents has won 7 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the legislative assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these states have also been announced on Sunday except Mizoram.

Kotputli is a city and municipality corporation in Kotputli Behror district of Rajasthan, India. It is located between Jaipur and New Delhi. On 17 March 2023 Kotputli was made one of the two headquarters of the newly created Kotputli Behror district. It was historically a part of the Khetri princely state, and also has been part of wider Matsya-Bairath cultural space. Kotputli is famous for many temples and schools. Sardar school and Sardar Zanana hospital were made by local bodies in conjunction with the Morijawala and Tijoriwala family.

The population of Tehsil Kotputli according to the 2011 census is 49,153 out of 26,058 males and 23,094 females. Clock tower /Ghanta Ghar Alwar ,Sariska Tiger reserve , Indira Gandhi international stadium, are the some of the best tourist place near to Kotputli.
