AJSU party candidate Sunita Choudhary was leading ahead with 6499 votes against INC candidate Mamta Devi, however, the INC candidate secured victory later in the day after turning the counting waves in the last hours. She secured victory with a vote margin of 6790 votes.
A total of 12 candidates were in the electoral fray for the Ramgarh Assembly seat in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election. In the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election, people voted in the Ramgarh constituency assembly on November 20, 2024 and the counting of votes began on November 23, 2024. There were a total of 3,52,643 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in the Ramgarh Assembly constituency, of which 1,79,840 were male, 1,72,803 were female and no third gender.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Mamta Devi of INC won the seat defeating Sunita Choudhary of AJSUP by a margin of 28,718 (12.84%) votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 44.70% in 2019 on the constituency seat. This time again the INC candidate has defeated AJSU candidate.
In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Chandra Prakash Choudhary of AJSU won this seat defeating Shahzada Anwar of INC with a margin of 53,818 (26.67%) of the total votes cast for the seat. AJSU had a vote share of 49.06% in 2014 on this seat.
In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Chandra Prakash Choudhary of AJSU won in this seat defeating Shahzada Anwar of INC by a margin of 25,475 which was 16.29% of the total votes cast for the seat. AJSU had a vote share of 39.62% in 2009 in this seat.
