Seelmapur Election Results: AAP's Chaudhary Zubair Leads
As per the election commission data, Aam Aadmi candidate Chaudhary Zubair Ahmed is leading with 29,719 votes in Seelmapur assembly constituency. Meanwhile, BJP’s Anil Kumar Sharma came in second with a vote margin of 13,189 votes. He had secured 16,530 votes. Congress’s Abdul Rehman is behind with 2,793 votes.
Seelmapur assembly constituency along with 70 other constituencies went to polls on February 5. The candidates in the fray from the Seelmapur constituency are Chaudhary Zubair Ahmed of the AAP, Anil Kumar Sharma of the BJP and Abdul Rehman of the INC.

In the previous assembly election in the national capital, the AAP’s Abdul Rehman won by a margin of 36,920 votes. The BJP’s Kaushal Kumar Mishra was the runner up securing 35,774 votes. In the 2020 assembly elections, Delhi had recorded 61.46 per cent voter turnout for the 70 Assembly constituencies.
The Congress party had won three consecutive terms from 1998 to 2013. While, the saffron party was only able to win once. After ending the Congress rule in 2013, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP formed the government in the national capital and further it had completed its second consecutive term (2015 to 2025). The national capital had recorded a voter turnout of 57.70 per cent till 5 pm in the single phase of assembly elections.
Delhi has an electorate of 1.5 crore, with 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. Meanwhile, third gender voters are 1,261 as per the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.
