Since the past few weeks, there have been several demands to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to release Form 17C. Recently, the special interest groups Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Common Cause filed a petition seeking the Supreme Court’s help to get copies of Form 17C published on its official website.

But what is this Form 17C that everyone’s been talking about, and why is it so important?.

However, on Friday, Supreme Court on Friday refused to pass any interim order on a plea by ADR seeking directions to Election Commission to disclose final authenticated data of voter turnout in all polling stations.
