Actor Anil Kapoor celebrates the 40 year anniversary of his film Shakti as he dropped some of the nostalgic captures of the memories from the sets of the film on his social media handle.

Shakti, the 1982 released crime thriller of Anil Kapoor penned by the acclaimed Angry Men of the era Salim-Javed duo is stepping into the 40th year of its journey. Celebrating the film’s special day, Anil Kapoor, who contributed to the film with his guest appearance has dropped some of the interesting captures from the film and reminicised his experience with the essence of gratitude.

Sharing the pictures the Animal actor wrote, “42 years of Shakti… Grateful to Javed Saab for recommending me for this iconic film. I was staying hours away in a remote hotel when Smita ji, with her incredible kindness, insisted I move closer and even offered me her room, making me feel like family.”

Considered to be one of the greatest films of history of Indian cinema, the movie is a wholesome treat of both story and the star cast. With the two veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar on board, this film is the only film of the era, which features two mega stars together on screen.

The craft of the director Ramesh Sippy excelled to be the highest grosser movie at box office of that year. The crime drama also received various acclamation with both Kumar and Bachchan were nominated for the Best Actor Award in the Filmfare and finally Kumar was garnered with the award. The film also received Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Sound Design awards at the time of its release.
