Facing the tough phases of the career for the past two years, surrounded by allegations questioning the dedication to his projects, Akshay Kumar, who once was a box office spinner, had a pretty hard time. And now, Sarfira seems to carry the hopes of re-establishing the actor’s market in the industry with stories that matter. Even though the actor underwent challenges, and struggled to bring out the character of Maaran, the director acclaimed his hard work and dedication.

The actor also revealed his emotional attachment to the film stating that he’d find it difficult to re-harness the same emotion when Sudha would cut and then set up a new shot from a different angle. To overcome these difficulties, he requested her to shoot with multiple cameras at the same time. She was kind enough to agree, Akshay said, but the actor admitted that it took them around a week to get accustomed to each other’s working styles.
