Written by Timeline Entertainment Desk

The three-day Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant pre-wedding bash was studded with stars from all over the globe. Artists like Rihanna, Akon, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan and more were seen performing in the event which was also attended by business tycoons and cricketers who are a part of the Mumbai Indians franchise like Kieron Pollard and Trent Boult.

However, in an uneventful situation, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan stirred controversy for his disrespectful comments towards South Indian superstar Ram Charan. The incident took place when the Khans of Bollywood — Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir — tried to master the ‘Naatu Naatu’ hook step but struggled to do so. It led to Shah Rukh Khan calling Ram Charan, who appeared in the original song along with Jr NTR, for help. However, as Ram Charan, took time to make his way from the crowd to reach the stage, the Bollywood superstar addressed him as, “Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu???”

The actor’s make-up artist Zeba Hassan reacted strongly against Shah Rukh Khan’s choice of words on her Instagram story and said: “I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like @alwaysramcharan.”

Hassan further said that South Indian artists are neither respected or given due respect by the Bollywood celebrities. “It’s funny how everyone wants to pay us ‘lesser’ because we’re from South India whereas they’re okay to pay triple the amount for the same thing to an artist if that artist is Delhi or Mumbai based,” she added.
