With a history of launching notable names like Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Chopra is now all geared up to launch Ananya Panday’s cousin Ahaan Panday in Mohit Suri’s next for the Yash Raj Films (YRF) production house. The film is set to mark his acting debut and will start filming soon.

Signed by YRF Talent five years ago, Ahaan has been trained personally by the head of the production house himself. The soon to debut actor has reportedly worked under Suri’s constant supervision and has been finalized to headline as a romantic hero in the film.

Ahaan Panday has previously worked as an assistant director on films including Freaky Ali (2016) and The Railway Men (2023).

While the details of the project remain under wraps, it was revealed that the film will be a youthful love story. Suri has previously collaborated with Yash Raj Films delivering hits like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. Known for his mastery over the romantic genre, Suri’s next is eagerly awaited by fans.

“Mohit wishes to introduce Ahaan as the quintessential romantic hero and Ahaan has already given multiple screen tests and auditions before signing on for the part. Mohit wanted a fresh face with charisma for the big screen and is excited to explore Ahaan’s potential on the spectacle,” revealed a source.

The project is going to be the first film produced by the company’s CEO Akshaye Widhani. Chopra, the creative force behind Yash Raj Films, has backed up Widhani and his team to deliver another romantic success under the production house and create new partnerships within the Hindi film industry. Chopra and his team intend to make the upcoming project one of the biggest launches for a newcomer in the industry.

The untitled film is slated to go on floors later this year.
