
Renowned Photographer Radhakrishnan Chakyat Dies At 53 (image-instagram/seeradha)
India’s most respected fashion photographer, Radhakrishnan Chakyat, who is well known for his artistic vision and technical expertise, died at the age of 53 on Friday. Apart from his photographic skill, Radhakrishnan is also a well-known face in the Malayalam movie industry as well.
According to Manorama Online, a heart attack is reported to be the reason for his death. Radhakrishnan’s independent journey began in 2000 and quickly rose to prominence with his remarkable set of skills. By conducting numerous workshops, lectures, mentoring aspiring photographers, and being part of some of the country’s leading brand campaigns, Radhakrishnan had earned a notable name in the industry.

Taking his journey to the next level, in 2017, the photographer launched his YouTube channel – Pixel Village – which later became a popular platform for learners to visit. In his videos, Chakyat shared tutorials, product reviews, and in-depth discussions about cameras, lighting, and photographic techniques. He had been regarded as one of the most sought-after mentors. He carefully breaks down complex ideas with clarity in his YouTube videos.
Following his demise, his team at Pixel Village released a heartfelt statement that read, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mentor, friend, and inspiration, Radhakrishnan Chakyat. A guiding light in our photography journey, he not only taught us how to see the world through the lens but also how to capture its soul. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched with his presence. Radha Sir, rest in peace. You will be deeply missed.”

Apart from his photography journey, Radhakrishnan had also made a mark in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut in the 2015 film Charlie, starring Dulquer Salmaan. He had portrayed the character David, earning admiration for his natural screen presence.
