Saiyaara is produced by Yash Raj Films, and true to their legacy, it brings together emotion, music, and grandeur in equal measure. Directed by Mohit Suri, known for his romantic dramas like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, the film tells a tender yet intense story of two artistic souls — Krish (Ahaan Panday) and Vaani (Aneet Padda).

Krish is a gifted singer; Vaani, a quiet, thoughtful writer. Their creative chemistry leads to haunting melodies and tender moments, but their love is tested by differences in age, background, and life experience.

The film marks the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday, cousin of actress Ananya Panday, and Aneet Padda, who rose to attention through the Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry. Despite being newcomers, both actors have quickly found themselves at the centre of mass fan attention.

Ahaan impresses with his emotional depth, especially in the musical scenes. He has a brooding charm that recalls early Hrithik Roshan, but his presence feels fresh, undeniably Gen Z.

Aneet Padda, on the other hand, balances vulnerability and fire. Her portrayal of Vaani—an ambitious yet hesitant soul—is layered and grounded, earning praise for her screen magnetism and emotional honesty.

Music plays a central role in Saiyaara’s narrative, and the soundtrack has already become a chartbuster. Composed by a powerhouse team—Tanishk Bagchi, Mithoon, Faheem Abdullah, Vishal Mishra, Sachet–Parampara, and Arslan Nizami—the album carries a strong emotional punch.

The title track “Saiyaara”, sung by Faheem Abdullah with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, has become an anthem of longing and love. It has already crossed 55 million views on YouTube and continues to trend on music streaming platforms.

Behind the music lies a richly textured score, with live instruments (guitars, piano, strings), intricate rhythm arrangements, and layered choruses that elevate the film’s emotional peaks.

Shot by cinematographer Vikas Sivaraman, the film bathes its love story in glowing, lyrical frames—intimate close-ups, dusky skylines, quiet cafés, music studios, and dreamlike sequences that reflect the characters’ emotional journeys. The production design, by Laxmi Keluskar and Rajat Poddar, is tastefully understated yet immersive.

Dialogues by Rohan Shankar strike a balance between heartfelt and real, while editor Devendra Murdeshwar ensures a smooth emotional rhythm without letting the film drag.

Despite having no established stars, Saiyaara opened to packed houses in its first weekend. Theatres in metro cities have reported sell-out evening shows, with younger audiences leading the charge. Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit are flooded with reactions, most of them shockingly enthusiastic.
