Days After Pavithra Jayaram's Death, Friend and Co-Actor Chandrakanth Dies by Suicide

Actor Chandrakanth, best known for his work in Telugu daily soaps, died by suicide at his residence in Alkapur, Telangana, on Friday. His death comes just days after his co-star and close friend Pavithra Jayaram was killed in a car accident. Reports suggest that the two were in a relationship.

According to a statement from Chandrakanth”s father, recorded by the police, the actor had been depressed for the past few days. Chandrakanth was deeply mourning Pavithra”s loss and had penned emotional tributes to his “Trinayani” co-star. His last post on Instagram was dedicated to Pavithra.

Pavithra Jayaram, renowned for her role as Tilottama in the popular Telugu television series “Trinayani,” died on Sunday in a road accident in Telangana’s Mahbubnagar district. The accident occurred while she was returning from Bengaluru to Hyderabad. According to the police, her car lost control, hit the divider, and crashed into a bus, resulting in her death at the scene. Her cousin and driver sustained severe injuries.

Pavithra began her acting career with the Kannada TV serial ‘Jokali’ and made her debut in the Telugu TV industry in 2018 with ‘Ninne Pelladatha.’ She gained significant popularity with her role in “Tilottama.”
