The beauty icon of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently attended the Global Women’s Forum in Dubai, where she was introduced as “Aishwarya Rai – International Star.”
The omission of her surname “Bachchan” has now been a matter of discussion about her relationship with Abhishek Bachchan. The event organisers’ decision to use her maiden name has added fire to fuel the divorce speculations.
Aishwarya’s Instagram profile still bears her full name, including “Bachchan.” However, the use of her maiden name at the Dubai event has raised eyebrows and fans are wondering if this is a sign of an impending divorce.
Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya’s father-in-law, recently addressed the rumours in his blog as he stressed the importance of respecting his family’s privacy and not spreading unverified speculations.

The rumours about Aishwarya and Abhishek’s marriage began circulating when the entire Bachchan family, except Aishwarya, attended a high-profile wedding ceremony together.
Aishwarya arrived separately with her daughter Aradhya for Ambani’s wedding, and there were no photos of the couple together. This further fueled speculation about their relationship.
In October, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her cousin’s birthday with her mother, Brinda Rai along with her daughter, Aaradhya as the heartwarming photos shared on Reddit, but one person was noticeably absent – her husband, Abhishek Bachchan.
Additionally, Abhishek liked an Instagram post about “grey divorces” (couples divorcing after long marriages) which also sparked concerns about their relationship.

Adding to it, an alleged affair between Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur surfaced online with some speculating an engagement on the horizon following Aishwarya Rai‘s absence from Abhishek’s family during events.
At the Dubai event, Aishwarya delivered a powerful speech, but the focus was overshadowed by the introduction which used her maiden name.
Aishwarya has always been known by her maiden name, which she used during her successful pageantry career and early acting days. She added “Bachchan” to her name after marrying Abhishek in 2007. However, neither Aishwarya Rai nor Abhishek Bachchan have spoken about the couple’s divorce yet.
