Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is all set to make his debut in the Telugu film industry. Hot on the heels of Tiger 3, Hashmi has once again embraced the antagonist role. However, this time he is going to be seen alongside Telugu star Pawan Kalyan in the upcoming movie titled OG.

In a recent interview, Hashmi shared his experiences on working in the South film industry. He noted the differences between the North and South industries in terms of filmmaking.

The actor praised the filmmakers in the South for their discipline and their knack for investing in the right places that enhances the quality of their content. He said that the filmmakers in the Hindi film industry often failed to do so.

Hashmi also appreciated the South filmmakers on their attention to detail in terms of VFX, the scale and choosing unconventional stories. He acknowledged that the Hindi film industry had lot to learn from the South and their way of filming.

The actor admitted that he had never imagined himself making an entry into the South film industry. Praising the script and his character, he complimented director Sujeeth Reddy and promised that the grand-scale project is going to be something exceptional.

Directed by Reddy, OG will feature Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Arul Mohan with Tamil actor Arjun Das in a special role. The film is slated to release September 27 later this year in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
