"Finish Once And For All?": Rajinikanth's Coolie With Lokesh Kanagaraj Is Revealed

After Leo, blockbuster director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next outing is with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, and it is called Coolie. The title release teaser for Rajinikanth’s 171 movie was released today. The teaser, which runs for more than three minutes, is full of action from the south star in which he is seen fighting, obviously the bad people, in a godown full of gold.

The teaser opens to a godown full of gold with members of a gang working. With the entry of Rajnikanth, an elaborate action scene ensues as he is surrounded by gold bars, gold watches, gold chains, and more.

The stylistic choice for the teaser stands out, with the black and white and the gold striking the viewers.

Sharing the poster of the film, Lokesh said, “We love you Thalaiva.” Coolie marks the first collaboration between the director and the actor.

While the majority of the cast remains under wraps, actor Sivakarthikeyan is rumoured to play a key role. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the background score for the film. Announced last September, the film is produced by Sun Pictures. The last collaboration between the actor and Sun Pictures was Jailer.

Coolie is slated to release in 2025.
