Superstar Rajinikanth‘s ”heart is thumping with joy” as he finally shares screen with his ‘mentor’ Amitah Bachchan aka Big B after 33 years. He shared his excitement by posting a photo of him along with Amitah Bachchan on his social media handle X.
Thalaivar wrote along with the picture, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca”s “Thalaivar 170” directed by T J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy.

The duo will be featured in the movie directed by TJ Gnanavel. The two megastars in one frame has already caught the attention of many.
The two superstar was last featured together in a Hindi film titled ‘Hum’, which was released in 1991. The shoot of the film “Thalaivar 170” has already begun in Kerala and now the team has moved to film in Tamil Nadu.
Produced by Lyca Productions, the movie will also feature Fahadh Fasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
In the ‘Thalaivar 170’, Rajinikanth will portray the role of a cop in the movie. The movie said to be inspired from a real-life incident and focusses to deliver a strong social message on the issue of fake encounters. Once again, Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film.
Rajinikanth recent movie ‘Jailer’ directed by Nelson released in August has already emerged as a box office success. The veteran actor’s upcoming movie also includes a yet untitled project with Lokesh Kanakaraj and Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam.
