Rhode Island, US: A recent discovery of human remains near Taylor Swift‘s iconic mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island, has sent chills down the public. The shocking discovery has raised concerns about a potential serial killer on the loose in New England, and it continues to plague the region.
As per reports, the bone of a human leg was found on a beach path off Everett Avenue in Watch Hill. The news spread like wildfire since the remains were found just a mile from pop star Taylor Swift’s $17 million seaside mansion.

The human remains were transferred to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigations. The case is now under investigation at the Westerly Police Department Detective Division.
While police officials ruled out foul play, residents disagreed and argued that finding a human leg in the neighbourhood was “highly suspicious.”
The discovery has raised alarm among the public, since it marks the 13th body or set of human remains found across southern New England since March. The previous sets were found in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The unsettling trend has stirred fears of a potential serial killer, as the cases span multiple states and remain widely unsolved.
Former FBI agent Scott Duffey has urged the public to avoid speculations. Suffey said that he did not believe that there was sufficient evidence to merit serial killer claims. “Let law enforcement continue to answer the questions that they need to answer. But nothing that I have seen would rise to a serial killer responsible for any or most of these people who have been found,” he said.

In the Connecticut case, Donald Coffel (68) was arrested in connection with the murder of one of the victims, Suzanne Wormser of Groton. As per reports, Wormser was Coffel’s roommate, and she was found dismembered and stuffed in a suitcase in March, stemming from what police said was an argument over crack cocaine.
On Friday, Coffel died in the Corrigan Correctional Center. At the time of his arrest, Coffel reportedly told police that he was in a lot of pain from cancer.
