Instagram Accounts Of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam & Fawad Khan Blocked In India
The Instagram accounts of top Pakistani stars Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have been blocked in India, in the latest fallout from escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The action comes just a day after a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region, which claimed the lives of 26 people. Following the incident, the Indian government appears to be cracking down on digital content linked to Pakistan.

Indian users trying to view the Instagram profiles of these stars now see a message that reads: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.”
This isn’t the first round of blocks either. Earlier, Instagram accounts of Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Ali Zafar, and other prominent celebrities were restricted in India. More recently, profiles of Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, and Sajal Aly were added to the list.
The move is part of a broader digital tightening. Just days ago, India also banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including major news outlets like Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, and Geo News. Authorities accused them of spreading provocative narratives and misinformation.

Meanwhile, the film Abir Gulaal, starring Fawad Khan alongside Indian actress Vaani Kapoor, has hit a roadblock too. Originally set for release on May 9, the film’s Indian release has been put on indefinite hold.
The tracks, the romantic ballad ‘Khudaaya Ishq’ and the upbeat number ‘Angrezi Rangrasiya’, were both taken down as of April 25.
Originally released earlier this month, the songs have been pulled from the official YouTube channel of the film’s production house, A Richer Lens Entertainment, as well as from Saregama’s official channel.
Meanwhile, fans across platforms have been pouring out messages of love and support, especially for Atif Aslam, stating that music knows no boundaries.
Keep Atif out of Bollywood if you want to, I don’t care. But unblock his social media account.

You can ban him from Bollywood, you can suspend his Insta account, but trust me, you can never ban this man from our Hearts & Playlist!
