Did Pakistan Send Expired Food To Cyclone-Hit Sri Lanka?: Images Spark Debate
Islamabad, Pakistan: Images of expired food products being send to the Tropical Cyclone hit Sri Lanka is doing round on social media, sparking debate on the quality of food Pakistan send to the victims of the catastrophe.
Following the cyclone Ditwah, the Sri Lanka faced in late November causing 355 deaths, over another 300 missing, and displacing over a million across all 25 districts, Pakistan sent relief including 100 tons of food, tents, medicines, and a rescue team.

However, images of bags with expired biscuits and milk powder from 2024 sparked questions online. Users on social media is widely sharing the images of alleged expired products. Notably, no official comments have come from Sri Lanka or Pakistan on the aid package complaints.
