Indian cinema awaits for a quite a number of sequels to hit theaters. In the line, is there a third part for the blockbuster franchise Baahubali? Producer KE Gnanavel Raja spilled tea about this possible installment and about other big ticket entertainers like Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar. Keep reading to know more.
The producer of the upcoming Suriya starrer mighty vigilant saga Kanguva, in his recent interview, discussed how rigid timelines are no longer mandatory to hook the audience’s interest. Spilling the beans about a potential sequel for SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster franchise, the producer said that Baahubali 3 is in the planning stages.

This update could be a biggest treat to the hard core fans of the periodic action thriller. And for the unversed, Gnanavel was the distributor for the Tamil version of the 2015 film Baahubali: The Beginning.
But here is something to take in account, previously, the Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad and actor Prabhas denied in interviews about the possibility of Baahubali 3. Rajamouli, too, spoke to the press in May while promoting the animated series Baahubali: Crown of Blood and expressed a desire to expand the Baahubali universe beyond films.

He had said that as filmmakers, they must step up and explore all mediums. People like books, novels, games, anime (Asian animation). eThe idea was to take the story of Baahubali to people like them. We were still talking about the cliffhanger of Baahubali: The Beginning and how the film was effective when told in two parts. That mindset needs to be changed.
On the workfront, Rajamouli is all set to kick start his action adventure with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. The film was supposed to go into production this year but pre-production is yet to be completed.
