Today, October 13th marks the special day of BTS’s beloved member Park Ji-min alias ‘ Jimin‘ as fans worldwide including India are pouring in heartfelt wishes on social media to celebrate the BTS boy’s birthday. Social media has been deluged with wishes and admiration and the BTS has posted a lovely wish for the South Korean singer, dancer and songwriter Jimin, “A Very Happy Birthday.”

Let’s get acquainted with some of the lesser-known facts about Jimin:

Jimin’s journey began at Busan High School of Arts where his exceptional dance skills caught a teacher’s attention. The teacher encouraged him to audition and Jimin took a leap of faith impressing them and secured his spot in BTS as a boy band member. He started his debut under the record label ‘Big Hit Entertainment.’

Jimin considered names like Baby J and Young Kid before debuting which is inspired by Rain and Big Bang’s Taeyang, Jimin’s passion for singing and dance grew gradually and interestingly,  he once considered becoming a policeman if singing wasn’t his path.

Jimin’s quirks which are like relying on eyeliner for confidence and his arm-wrestling loss to Jungkook, showcase his relatable and playful side. As BTS’s primary dancer, Jimin debuted in 2013 with “No More Dream.” His solo tracks, “Lie” and “Serendipity,” broke records solidifying his artistry.

Jimin’s collaborations with Steve Aoki and Halsey demonstrate his versatility and skill and fan art even inspired his moon phases tattoo which indicates his love and affection to his fans worldwide. This mutual connection between Jimin and his fans exemplifies the profound impact of their bond.

Since he celebrated his 29th birthday, fans have poured in their heartfelt messages on social media platforms and have set celebrations in various places to show their love for Jimin and the K-pop band BTS. A user wrote on the X platform: “My sweetest angel Jimin, happy birthday to you. Loving; caring; comforting; cherishing; embracing ourselves and living as the human beings we are…it’s by watching you that I get to understand a bit more every day what all of this means. Thank you for existing.”
