'Kalki 2898 AD' Beats SRK's 'Pathaan' In Box Office Within 2 Weeks

Shattering the records and creating one is just another task for the recently released pan-Indian film, Kalki 2898 AD, which has emerged as the biggest Indian film of 2024 so far. The movie has crossed the Rs 543.35 crore net after its second week and surpassed the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

King Khan‘s 2023 release Pathaan collected  Rs 543.09 crore net in India. But Prabhas’ latest release has managed to beat this record in just two weeks. After two successive weeks now, the movie is marching towards its third weekend.  The Nag Ashwin directorial collected Rs 414.85 crore net in its first week and Rs 128.5 crore net in its second week in India, and in total of 15 days, the film has earned Rs 543.35 crore, reported the trade website Sacnilk.

The film has made its maximum business in the Telugu industry, where the movie has garnered Rs.253.75 crore net in 15 days and the Hindi industry has contributed with Rs.232.9 crore.

This upcoming week may affect its sailing in theaters with the release of Kamal Haasan’s multilingual Indian 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira in Hindi.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD has been produced on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, making it India’s most expensive film. The movie features  Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in key roles and includes a series of blockbuster cameos from Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur.
