'Kanimaa': Suriya-Pooja Hegde's 'Retro' Second Single Out (Image-X/Suriya_offl)
Actor Suriya is buckled up to launch his next action thriller, Retro, with Pooja Hegde. And today, Suriya dropped the second single from the film Kanimaa, composed by ace musician Santhosh Narayanan.
Produced by Stone Bench Films and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, the film boasts a stellar cast including Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Shreya Saran, and others on board.
Touted to be a high-octane entertainer, the film incorporates the concepts of love, violence, promise, rowdyism, and hooliganism. The second single is placed against the backdrop of a vintage wedding vibe, possibly the wedding of the lead characters.

With lyrics written by Vivek, the song composed as a Gana melody is now trending on social media. Moreover, the upbeat melody was composed and sung by Santhosh Narayanan. The Karthik Subbaraj directorial will be hitting the theatres this summer on May 1.
On the work front, Suriya will be again collaborating with the Kanguva makers. The underperformance of the periodic fantasy film at the box office has highly impacted the makers, pushing producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green into the depths of financial issues. Now, in order to support and to compensate for the loss incurred, Suriya has agreed to collaborate in two upcoming projects under the production house.

The actor is currently in discussion with prominent Telugu and Malayalam directors to finalize the projects. As per reports, an official announcement about Suriya’s upcoming projects is expected to be made soon.
