The makers of actor Soori‘s next cinematic venture Kottukkaali (or The Adamant Girl) alongside Anna Ben released the trailer today. Slated for release on August 23, the makers have hinted at the trailer with .
Directed by PS Vinothraj and produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan, Kottukkaali promises to be a noteworthy addition to Tamil cinema. Unveiling the trailer, the makers wrote, “We’re excited and proud to unveil the trailer of #Kottukkaali! Experience the cinematic journey on the big screen from August 23.”

The trailer opens with a comparison between a trapped rooster and Anna Ben. The actress looks at the rooster whose legs are tied to a stone, the scene lasts a few seconds to convey the visual representation of trapped Anna Ben. Stating that Anna is possessed by an evil spirit, the trailer offers the journey of the villagers and the disputes that arise in between.

Setting itself different from usual trailers, the makers have used the sound of the ambients as a factor to connect the audience with the flow. With the sounds of the rooster, vehicles, flowing water, and the disputes between characters, the makers depict a different approach towards the trailer.
The film received a massive reception at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival where it premiered followed by a screening at the Transilvania International Film Festival. Kottukkaali is expected to be a film that boosts up Soori as a lead actor. The actor has received various acclamations for his role in Viduthalai Part 1.
