In the wake of actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran‘s 42nd birthday, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal unveiled the character poster of the actor from their ambitious project L2: Empuraan.
The dream project of director Prithviraj joining hands with Mohanlal is been the talk of the town for months and the anticipation of fans over the franchise is at the top. Often piquing the audience’s interest with the updates from the sets of L2: Empuraan, it’s time for the makers to finally reveal the character of Prithviraj from the world of Empuraan.

Being one of the most anticipated projects shaping up in Malayalam cinema, it is quite interesting to get to know more about the sequel. As we all know, Mohanlal will be reprising his much loved character Stephen Nedumpally aka Kureshi Abraam. Prithviraj seems to be the other powerhouse of the film.
On the occasion of Prithvi’s birthday, here is the team introducing the actor as Zayed Masood, the emperor’s general. The makers describe the characteristics of the General as the one who was “Forsaken by God… nurtured by the DEVIL.” Armed with rifle and styled in a black attire, coolers and a black cap, the actor who seems to be in the middle of a mission, just looks dapper.

His character plays the right-hand and confidante of protagonist Khureshi Abraam in the franchise. Unlike the first installment Lucifer, the actor-filmmaker is expected to have a longer screen time in the upcoming second part, written by Murali Gopy.
Apart from this, Empuraan is jointly bankrolled by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Production and it is Lyca‘s first venture in Malayalam cinema. Apart from Malayalam, Empuraan will be available in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
