Lucky Baskhar Trailer Out: Dulquer's 'Life-Is-All-About-Money' Story Is Promising

The trailer of Dulquer Salmaan starring Lucky Baskhar has generated excitement, giving a glimpse of the actor in the lead role as a banker with mysterious wealth. The trailer of Lucky Baskhar hints at a captivating story centred on ambition, wealth, and personal victories, making it one of the most awaited films of the year. With Dulquer’s dynamic performance at its core, Lucky Baskhar promises an engaging ride when it hits theatres this Diwali.

Directed by Vaathi fame Venky Atluri, the Telugu-language drama thriller takes viewers back to the 1980s, exploring the journey of an ordinary man’s triumphs as he is faced with financial and personal struggles.

Produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinema, and Srikara Studios, the film, which is all set to be released in many other languages apart from the mother language Telugu, features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Hyper Aadi, and P. Sai Kumar in key roles. Dulquer’s character, Baskhar, shares the screen with Sumathi, played by Meenakshi, while the supporting cast includes Ramki, Surya Sreenivas, and Rithvik.

Filming began in Hyderabad in October 2023, following the official announcement of the project in May 2023, initially dubbed Dulquer Salmaan 32. Venky Atluri reportedly impressed Dulquer with the script shortly after the actor’s work on King of Kotha. With cinematography by Nimish Ravi and music by GV Prakash Kumar, the film promises a thrilling cinematic experience. The soundtrack has already gained attention, with singles like “Srimathi Garu” and the romantic track “Mindathe” resonating well with fans.

Originally set to release on 7 September 2024, Lucky Baskhar was postponed to 31 October 2024, aligning with Diwali celebrations. This strategic shift avoids clashes with other major releases, ensuring a better box-office run.

Dulquer was last seen in a cameo in Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD. Before this, his full-fledged film was King of Kotha, which was made in Malayalam.
