The grandeur that Nag Aswin offered in screens is something, which cannot be confined with words. The story which covers centuries, the cast- a constellation, the making- an expensive creation, Kalki 2898 AD is something more than a film. The revolutionary attempt of director Nag Ashwin is not ending with the success of Kalki 2898 AD.  Yes, folks the sequel to the greatest creation will kick start by 2025.

As the behind-the-scenes stories of the acclaimed film storm the internet, the makers have dropped the announcement for the next sequel.  According to the latest report, the sequel is set to hit the floors next year. The producers and the sister duo Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt of Vayjayanthi Movies confirmed the same at the film’s screening in Moscow, stated News 18.  The filming is expected to kick start in five to six months from January or February.

What to expect from the next sequel? Of course, the grandeur visuals and story. In the story part, the film will explore the mystery and origin behind Supreme Yaskin (antagonist played by Kamal Haasan). A great creation comes with a great investment of time.

Actor Prabhas said that the film’s making will take at least three years. But the actor has also hinted that the next sequel of the epic sci-fi will be divided into two parts. Some parts of it were also short in the earlier schedules of the film.

Kaliki 2898 AD ended its theatrical run with a Rs 1,028–1,100 crore collection at the box office and emerged to be the seventh highest-grossing Indian film. Besides the lead cast of Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Anna Ben, Shobana and more, the film also has a stellar lineup of special appearances from SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, and Dulquer Salmaan.

The sequel was released in OTT on August 22. After the tremendous victory, it’s now streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
