Mohanlal who is receiving rave reviews for his solid performance in Jeethu Joseph directorial Neru, has released new poster of the upcoming movie Malaikottai Vaaliban on Monday. The movie features the debut collaboration between Mohanlal and director Lijo Jose Pellissery. Lijo Jose Pellissery”s previous release was Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam with Mammotty.

In the new poster Mohanlal is seen in the middle of a group as in a prayer-like setting. The image resembles to a sacred ritual or arrangement of similar kind, where Mohanlal sitting at the centre and people around are seems to be like worshipping him. The usage of colour tones in the poster resonates to painting.
Malaikottai Vaaliban is produced by a consortium of production companies including John & Mary Creative Century Films, Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, and Amen Movie Monastery. The screenplay for the movie is written by P S Rafeeque. Aside from Mohanlal, Malaikottai Vaaliban features Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Manikandan R. Achari, Hariprashanth Varma, Katha Nandi, Andrea Ravera and many others. The music is scored by Prashanth Pillai and cinematography is handled by Madhu Neelakandan.
In the first week of December, teaser of the movie – set as the character revealing video of Mohanlal – has been released. Malaikottai Vaaliban is scheduled hit theaters worldwide on January 25, 2024 (coinciding with the Republic Day weekend in India).
Aside from Malaikottai Valiban, Mohanlal”s upcoming projects are, Barroz, Rambaan, Vrushabha, and L2: Empuraan.
