Meanwhile, fans of the actor have expressed their displeasure over the jury’s decision. As per fans, he was robbed of the award as the jury because they allegedly acted in a biased manner. After sharing Shetty’s old images with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, some called the actor a “BJP Devotee.” Shetty won the Best Actor award for the Kannada film Kantara.

They added that the Malayalam actor has been ‘robbed again’ as his notable performances in Nissam Basheer’s Rorschach and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam were ignored. At the same time, others pacified themselves with the hopes of the actor winning the award next year for Kaathal: The Core.
