Theatres today welcome a new kind of thrill as Mathew Thomas headlines the much-awaited Malayalam horror-comedy ‘Nellikkampoyil Night Riders’, directed and edited by Noufal Abdullah in his directorial debut.
Blending the chills of supernatural folklore with the warmth of youthful camaraderie, the film promises to deliver a refreshing cinematic experience that rides between laughter and fear.
Set in the mysterious village of Nellikkampoyil, the story follows Shyam, a spirited young man played by Mathew Thomas, who joins his close-knit group of friends to uncover the long-buried secrets of their eerie hometown.
What begins as a playful adventure soon turns into a heart-racing quest through myths, memories, and mischief — where nothing is quite as it seems.

The film features a vibrant ensemble including Roshan Shanavas, Merin Philip, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Sarath Sabha, Rony David, Abu Salim, and Noushad Ali, bringing youthful energy and humour to a story wrapped in mystery.
Produced by Abbas Thirunavaya, Sajin Ali, and Dipen Patel under A & H S Productions, Nellikkampoyil Night Riders is written by Sunu A.V. and Jyothish M., the writing duo behind Pranaya Vilasam.
The film’s musical score, composed by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha S. Nair, has already generated buzz with its eclectic soundtrack featuring tracks like “Fight the Night”, “Kaadhal Poonman”, and the haunting “Bhootha Ganam”. The music album, released by T-Series, adds an emotional pulse to the film’s eerie and entertaining narrative.

Shot extensively in Palakkad, the production wrapped earlier this March, and the first look poster, unveiled in June, has been trending across social media for its quirky yet spooky vibe.
Originally slated for an October 10 release, the film finally makes its theatrical debut today, October 24, following the extended run of Kantara: Chapter 1.
