Mohanlal, who is looking forward to his upcoming sequel L2: Empuraan, is now gearing up for his next venture. Yes, the actor announced his next with director Anoop Menon today.
The fans of the superstar are eagerly waiting for the release of Empuraan with Prithviraj Sukumar. As the anticipation over the upcoming release stands sky-high, the actor turned his focus towards his next project under the direction of actor-director Anoop Menon.
Known for his films King Fish, Padma and Nalpathukaarante Irupathonnukaari, Menon is now launching his fourth directorial with Mohanlal.

The Lucifer star described the project as the one that is close to his heart. While announcing the project, Mohanlal also dropped a few details about the film. As per the actor’s description, the film will revolve around love, longing and music.
The film, which will be written and directed by Menon, is set to be extensively shot in Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata and Shillong. Moreover, the film will also be produced by Timeless Movies.
Announcing the project, Mohanlal wrote, “Delighted to announce my next film, a dramatic journey traversing love, longing and music to be shot extensively in Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata and Shillong. Written and directed by Anoop Menon and featuring a stellar team BTS, produced by Timeless movies, this subject is so close to my heart. Meanwhile, Mohanlal will be next seen in L2: Empuraan, the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Directed by Prithviraj and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film boasts a stellar cast including Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Shashi Kapoor, Indrajith, Baiju Santosh, Prithviraj, and Saniya Iyyappan. One of the most anticipated films, L2: Empuraan, is set to hit theaters on March 27.
Additionally, Mohanlal will also be seen in the Tharun Moorthy directorial, Thudarum. This family entertainer will reunite the iconic duo Mohanlal and Shobana after 15 years.
