Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has joined the set of “Neru,” a court drama directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, today.
“Stay tuned for more sneak peeks and updates as we bring this story to life,” the versatile actor wrote on Instagram. This marks Jeethu Joseph”s second collaboration with Mohanlal after the blockbuster “Drishyam” franchise in 2013 and 2021. Following “Drishyam 2,” Mohanlal teamed up with the director for “12th Man,” which received a mixed reaction at the box office.
The actor has also shared two images from the “Neru” set. One shows the actor sitting on a chair in his typical Mohanlal style, holding a book in his hand, presumably a legal book. The second picture features a snapshot with the director and producer.

Earlier, the actor had shared some photos from the movie”s puja ceremony, which was held in the third week of August.
“We begin shooting for “Neru” today on the auspicious occasion of the 1st of Chingam. Sharing a few stills from the Pooja with all of you! Your prayers and blessings are much appreciated,” the actor wrote on his X social media handle at the time.
The script for the movie is written by Santhi Mayadevi, who previously portrayed a lawyer”s role in the Malayalam original of “Drishyam 2.”
