Pranav Mohanlal Teams Up With Bramayugam Director For 'NSS2' (Image-Instagram/allnightshifts)
Malayalam actor Pranav Mohanlal has collaborated with the makers of Mammootty’s Bramayugam for his next project. Tentatively titled NSS2, the upcoming film is being directed by Rahul Sadasivan and will hit theatres by the end of this year.
Night Shift Studios, exclusively formed to produce horror-thriller films, has started filming their second production venture. After the critically and commercially acclaimed black-and-white blockbuster film Bramayugam, with Mammootty in the lead, Night Shift Studios has officially begun their second venture with Pranav Mohanlal on board.
Founded by producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra in 2021, the production house quickly became a significant force in producing horror films and providing spectacular cinematic experiences to audiences. Continuing that momentum, they are teaming up again with director Rahul Sadasivan and preparing for their new big-budget film.

Announcing his next with the Bramayugam makers, Pranav Mohanlal shared a joint post announcing the film, with its production going to floors today. Filming for NSS2 will continue until June 2025.

Producers Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth said they are very excited to reunite with Rahul Sadasivan and are trying to bring another amazing story to life with the excellent team of Bramayugam. They also revealed that the film will further explore the possibilities of the horror-thriller genre and showcase Pranav Mohanlal’s acting skills in an unprecedented way.
Director Rahul Sadasivan, writer and director of the film, said it is exciting to work again with producers who fully support his ideas and that Bramayugam was an unforgettable journey. He added that working with Pranav Mohanlal was a wonderful experience and that they are trying to bring another unique cinematic experience to audiences worldwide through NSS2. The crew is preparing to release the film in theatres in the last quarter of 2025.
Pranav Mohanlal was last seen in the period comedy-drama Varshangalkku Shesham, co-starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Vineeth Sreenivasan.

Bramayugam, released in February 2024, grossed over Rs 95 crore during its theatrical run and received praise for its innovative use of sound and visuals in horror storytelling.
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam also features Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in key roles. The film, shot in black and white, was made on a grand scale in Kochi and Ottapalam, blending folklore and fantasy to create a haunting cinematic experience.
