The upcoming Bollywood action film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is already making headlines at the box office even before its release.
The much-awaited sequel has reportedly crossed ₹56 crore in worldwide advance bookings, showing strong demand from audiences across India and overseas.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, with paid preview shows planned a day earlier on March 18.
Trade reports say the movie has already sold more than four lakh tickets in India, indicating a massive opening for the action entertainer.
According to early trade estimates, the film has sold over 3.5 lakh tickets across more than 8,000 shows in India for preview screenings alone.
The paid preview collection is currently estimated at around ₹19 crore, which goes up to over ₹24 crore when blocked seats are included.
The Hindi 2D version is leading the bookings, contributing the largest share of the advance sales. Cinema chains have also reported a high demand for premium formats and large-screen experiences.
The film is also performing strongly in international markets. Reports suggest that overseas advance bookings for the opening weekend are close to ₹35 crore, with North America alone contributing nearly ₹27 crore.
Trade analysts believe the film could target around ₹200 crore worldwide on its opening day, including preview collections. Early projections suggest the movie may cross ₹100 crore in India on Day 1, while the overall domestic total could reach ₹150 crore after adding preview shows.
International markets are expected to contribute ₹50 crore or more on the first day, driven by strong demand in North America and other global territories.
