Rhea Chakraborty Opens Up About Sushant Singh Rajput's Mental Health

Bollywood actress, Rhea Chakraborty, who had been under the spotlight for quite some time regarding Sushant Singh Rajput”s untimely death has finally opened up about the mental state of Mr. Rajput at the time of his death. Ms. Chakraborty, who was Mr. Rajput”s girlfriend said she was aware of issues regarding his mental health and how that might have been the reason behind his “untimely death”.

To this, Mr. Rajput”s sister, Shweta Singh take a dig at Ms. Chakraborty for “blaming the person who has passed on”. Earlier Rhea Chakraborty was detained for six weeks adhering to her alleged involvement in the deceased actor”s death. She was imprisoned for an alleged drug case. Ms. Chakraborty, her brother Showik among other 33 people were charged by Narcotics Control Bureau in March 2021.

Three years after the MS Dhoni actor”s death, Ms. Chakraborty opens up about the incident to India Today. She said, people find it hard to grasp that someone can be depressed even though they are “rich and famous”.

Her words were, “They are like he has fame, he has success, why is he depressed?”. She also said that mental health issues are not taken care of in “this” country (India) at all and that even though youths are taking steps towards understanding about the said issues, when someone famous confronts such situation, people find it hard to understand.

When asked about whether she was aware of Mr. Rajput”s alleged mental health status at the time of his demise, she responded that she was aware of “him being mentally ill” and she knew what he had been going through. She also retorted to the allegations made on her about how she had changed Mr. Rajput after coming to his life. She said Mr. Rajput, who hailed from small town is not someone who can be mind controlled and people should know that.

Mr. Rajput”s family never stood with Ms. Chakraborty. And believed that she was involved in the actor”s alleged suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput”s sister wrote on her Instagram about the Jilebi actress”s opening up. She wrote, “I wonder what answer will you give to your conscience. My Bhai had a pure heart and he is beating in hearts of million”. She said this with the hashtag “justice 4 Sushant”.
