Last month, the 28-year-old Chakma opened up about her condition and the challenging journey of two years. In her Instagram handle she said, she had been struggling alone for quite a while and did not want to tell anyone about her condition. She said, she thought about battling it heal on her own.
Chakma had a malignant phyllodes tumour (breast cancer). After she had her first surgery, it materialised into her lungs and her head (brain tumour). She said, “my brain surgery is still pending as it”s already widespread all my right side of my body till my lungs and it will only be possible if I heal with chemotherapy first with just 30% hope”.
She also mentioned about accepting donations as all of her family’s savings were exhausted because of the treatment she had to undergo. She also requested for messages instead of call as she is “too weak” due to the treatment. She also sent prayer and healing to everyone.
