Sai Pallavi Warns of Legal Action on Baseless Rumours, Lies

South Indian actress Sai Pallavi has strongly condemned rumours circulating about her dietary habits and travel preferences during the filming of the upcoming movie Ramayana. A social media post by Cinema Vikatan alleged that the actress, a vegetarian, has been travelling with personal chefs abroad to avoid consuming non-veg and hotel food.

Reacting to the claims, Sai Pallavi took to social media to refute the report and warn against such baseless stories. She stated, “Most of the time, almost every time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours, fabricated lies, or incorrect statements being spread with or without motives (God knows), but it’s high time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease; especially around the time of my films’ releases or announcements.”

Expressing frustration, she added, “Next time I see any ‘reputed’ page or media/individual carrying a cooked-up, crappy story in the name of news or gossip, then you will hear from me legally! Period!”

Earlier, Cinema Vikatan had posted: “Sai Pallavi, who is working in the film Ramayana, has decided not to consume non-veg foods. So the actress has been taking special chefs along with her while travelling abroad to cook veg meals in order to avoid eating food from hotels.”

The controversy comes as excitement builds around Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. The ambitious project, touted as India’s greatest story, features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Sheeba Chaddha are also part of the star-studded cast.

A leaked image of Ranbir and Sai Pallavi from the set recently went viral, adding to the anticipation. Speaking about his role, Ranbir Kapoor told Deadline, “I am currently working on a film called Ramayan, which is India’s greatest story. It’s made over two parts and uses advanced technology to retell the story of Lord Ram and Raavan for a new generation.”
