Even though both individuals have parted ways, Seema emphasised that the Khan family will always remain close to her and added that they shaped the woman she is today. She stated that she would not have had this opportunity without her ex-husband’s family, and since she shares two children with Sohail, she said that the Khans will always be her family.

Speaking of her children, Seema shared what she had told her son at the time of her divorce: “‘Was I put on this earth just to be your mother or someone’s wife, and someone’s daughter? What about me? I feel like I want my life to count for something. And I want to be able to look back and my kids to look back and see their mum as something more than just a wife, mum and a daughter.’ I think that was my driving point. There has to be more to me.”
