After Ranveer Singh’s sudden exit from Don 3, fresh buzz has erupted around the future of the iconic Bollywood franchise. According to recent reports, Shah Rukh Khan may be ready to return as the legendary Don, but only under one key condition.
As per a report by TellyChakkar, Shah Rukh Khan is open to reprising his role in Don 3 if filmmaker Atlee is brought on board to direct the film.
The superstar reportedly wants the Jawan director to take charge in order to elevate the scale, style, and mass appeal of the project. However, the report also states that nothing has been finalised or signed yet.

Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 recently left fans and industry insiders wondering who would step into the shoes of the iconic character.
The announcement of Ranveer as Don last year had already received mixed reactions, and his decision to walk away from the project has once again put the spotlight on Shah Rukh Khan, who earlier played the role in Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), both directed by Farhan Akhtar.
Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar, who successfully rebooted the franchise with SRK, is yet to respond publicly to reports about Shah Rukh Khan’s condition.

It remains to be seen whether Farhan will be open to handing over the director’s chair to Atlee for the third instalment.
The Don franchise has a long and iconic history. The original Don was released in 1978 and starred Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role.
Shah Rukh Khan later redefined the character for a new generation, turning the franchise into a stylish action thriller series with strong box office success.
Don 3 has faced multiple setbacks in recent months. After Kiara Advani reportedly exited the film, Kriti Sanon is said to have been approached for the female lead, though no official confirmation has been made.
Reports also suggest that actors Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda were considered for the antagonist’s role, but both declined the offer.
