Kiara Advani Bags The Coveted Role In Farha Akhtar's Directorial Comeback In Don 3 (image@advani_kiara)
Speculations of who could bag the Don 3 female has been lurking ever since Farhan Akhtar made announcement of the movie with Ranveer Singh. All speculations came to settle down as the filmmaker-actor announced Kiara Advani to be joining the team opposite to Ranveer Singh.
After hinting about the special announcement, Excel Entertainment posted on their social media platform, “Welcome to the Don universe” and tagged Kiara Advani. The announcement video however does not reveal Advani’s first look from the film. The post also reveals nothing about Kiara’s role. But one thing was made sure be intact – the iconic theme tune of the Don franchise.

Speculations of Advani being part of the film has started to circulate after the Kabir Singh star was spotted at the Excel Entertainment recently. When asked about her role in the film, Farhan Akhtar said it is a work in progress. He said, “I don’t wanna get ahead of myself and say something that I may have to take back for any other reason but as and when it happens, you’ll know”, as quoted by media.
When Ranvir Singh was announced to be the lead actor, the star and makers of the film were subjected to wide criticism. The reason for the flaks were nothing but other two films of the franchise, which was done by Shah Rukh Khan. Since Khan has etched himself into the hearts of the audience with his doyen portrayal of the sinister character, they find it hard to see someone else as Don. The urge to see Shah Rukh Khan in Don has been long as whenever Akhtar created a movie, the second question was always about when will Don with Shah Rukh Khan will come out.
Responding to the criticism, the filmmaker said that Ranveer Singh will do a “great job”. He told BBC that, “it really is about an actor coming in and owning the part and making it really like, giving it their style and their flair. And he has that, he has that in spades. So, he is going to do a great job. I think the responsibility is more mine now to make sure that the script and the film work out the way I imagine”. Don 3 will hit silver screen in 2025.
