Communist Pacha, also titled Appa, the comedy entertainer of debutant director Shameem Moideen hits theatres today. Written by Ashif Kakkodi and produced by Salaman under the banner of Haritha Productions, the film promises to offer a hilarious ride based on the game of kandam cricket.

The trailer offered a sneak peek into the rural comedy centred around a bunch of grown-up men and their local cricket encounters. The movie also gained the audience’s attention with its track ‘Arikilaayi,’ a melodious treat of KS Chitra.

Communist Pacha features a cast of Zakaria, Altaf Salim, Nazlin, Jamila Saleem, Sajin Cherukail, Sarasa Balushery, Ranji Kankol, Vigilesh, Balan Parakal, Shamsuddin Mankarathodi, Ashwin Vijayan, Sanandan, Anurup, Hijaz Iqbal, Vineet Krishnan, and Anil. K, Kutassanad Kanakam, and others are also playing notable characters.

The music for the film is performed by Govind Vasantha, Benny Dayal, DJ Shekhar, and Chitra. The art direction is helmed by National Award winner Anees Nadodi, and the editing is done by Nishad Yusuf. The film’s visuals are brought to life by cinematographer Shafi Koroth; the production controller is Girish Atholi, Harris Desham serves as the line producer, and Irshad Cherukkunnu handles costume design.
